Elizabeth Ellis - Secondary School Counselor

Welcome to the world of Prattville Christian Academy.  My name is Elizabeth Ellis and I am the counselor for 7th through 12th grade here at PCA.  God has taken me on a journey through life that I now see Him bringing together for a purpose... to prepare me for this time at PCA.  My husband Drew (PCA Instructional Technology Director) and I were married in February of 1996.  I finished my BS in Kinesiology & English at Stephen F. Austin State University in 1998 and immediately started teaching and coaching at my alma mater (Hudson High School) in Lufkin, Texas.  Since then, I spent 8 more years teaching and coaching.  God also prepared my way for this time as I spent several years working as an academic advisor and residence life counselor at the university level.  In 2000, we were blessed through adoption with our oldest son, Jacob (PCA 4th grader), and in 2003 with our daughter, Amberlee (PCA 1st grader).  While being a stay at home mom, I finished my Master of Science degree and began working for an Adoption Support and Preservation (ASAP) program which provided in-home crisis intervention counseling for families and adolescents.  In May of 2009, God blessed us with our youngest son, Mason (15 months) who was a miracle and a huge surprise.  In July of 2009, we moved our family to Prattville from Nashville, Tennessee as we felt God was leading us to full-time ministry at PCA.  God has blessed us richly in our time here and we look forward to the continued growth and leading that God is placing before us in this amazing family -- Prattville Christian Academy.

I look forward to sharing amazing years with the PCA students and parents as they make cool discoveries about who they are, where they've been, and where they are going.  I pray God will allow me to challenge students to reach their full potential and strive toward the dreams and aspirations that have been set before them.  I pray God will use me to help His young people become successful, hardworking, and strong Christian examples for His kingdom.  I ask that you please pray for the journey we are taking together with these awesome young people.  Thank you for sharing them and this time in their lives with me!
