Varsity Boys Clinch Region Crown

Basketball teams will play in the State Playoffs Tuesday, February 16, 2010.  Both of these games are at Huntingdon College.

The Varsity Girls team plays at 9:00 a.m. against Pike Liberal Arts.

The Varsity Boys team plays at 4:30 p.m. against Fort Dale Academy.

Heartsill signs his National Letter of Intent
to Play for Wake Forest University

DYLAN HEARTSILL signed to play football for a BCS Division 1 school Wednesday, but he wasn't the only Panther whose name is in lights.  To see Dylan's recruiting highlights and report by the Wake Forest coaches, CLICK THE DEMON DEACON.   Also, you can see the Montgomery Advertiser Article here.
NICK HOOTS signed his intent to play 2 sports (Football/Baseball) with Huntingdon College in 2010-2011 as well. 
RASHAD MATTHEWS signed to join a solid program with Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL. 

Other Seniors who have had multiple offers for scholarships and preferred walk-on's are:
Andrew Brackins - Brown Univ., Troy, Southern Illinois, Jacksonville State University
Donald "Duck" Boyd - University of South Alabama, Huntingdon College
Andy Williams - Faulkner University, Huntingdon College

PCA Coach Honored


PCA's First-Year Football Coach Honored
PCA Players Honored as All-Metro, Autauga Co. "Player of Year" (below)

In a surprise honor, the Montgomery Advertiser (All-Metro) and Prattville Progress (Autauga County) newspapers have both honored Coach Grey Powell as "Coach of the Year".

In his first year, Coach Powell was successful in turning around the 4th-year program, and the Varsity Panthers made the Playoffs for the first time.  Ending the season on the high note, the Panthers lost the first game of the playoffs, but finished the season 7-5.
