PRATTVILLE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY PRE-KINDERGARTEN
PRE-KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM
Bible: Students learn about the beginning of the world, God's plan for his family, Jesus' life and teaching, and God's helpers in the New Testament Church.
Reading and Language Arts: This program is designed to prepare four year olds for Kindergarten. They will have much exposure to language and literacy in fun and active ways. Very little formal paper work is used to best teach students in ways that are developmentally appropriate. Students develop their fine and gross motor skills as well as receive training for appropriate social and emotional development
Environment: The curriculum is designed to nurture children's curiosity about science and social studies. This is done through the use of theme units and activities that integrate with their development in literacy.
Math: Mathematics are presented in a way that students relate the information to their everyday lives in order that they master developmentally appropriate concepts. Students are taught using hands on methods and gain understanding through activities and daily discussions.
