As we approach another holiday season, we wanted to send you an update on our plans for the 2012-2013 school year.  Based on continued high interest and the number of applications already received for new students next year, we anticipate filling to capacity next year – about 700 students.

Enrollment for all current students begins January 4, 2012.  Other students in your family who you want to attend PCA can be registered starting on February 1, 2012.  On February 10, 2012, we will begin processing applications for new families at PCA.  Because we are near capacity, we encourage you to complete your registration paperwork in January to assure your slot(s) for next year.

We have been in prayer and careful consideration about tuition rates for the upcoming school year.  A tremendous amount of time is put into the planning and budgeting of the needs of the school while also giving strong consideration to the current state of the economy and its effects on our school families.  We have gone to great lengths to see that any increase would be as low as possible while also being sure to being responsible stewards of what has been already been provided.  Maintaining good staff requires reasonable raises in compensation and professional development.  Our facilities and programs are some of the finest in the area and there are costs associated with providing those.

In most years we have raised tuition by a small percentage to cover the rising costs of operation.  In addition to asking Mr. Mitchell to carefully consider budgets fornext school year and reduce costs as required to make ends meet, we have decided to raise tuition and fees for the 2012-2013 school year.  Tuition will rise by $160 per year per student and the facilities fee will rise from $400 to $500 per year per student.  All other fees will remain the same.

Many of you have commented about how thrilled you are about new facilities and programs, we thank God constantly for His blessings.  The fact remains that these improvements must be paid for.  By raising tuition and fees a modest amount, we are trusting that parents who are able will step up and contribute to the Ministry Partners Program to help reduce the costs of technology and curriculum.  Contributions made to the Ministry Partners Program are in most cases 100% tax deductible, but tuition paid to PCA is not.  Please prayerfully consider a gift to the Ministry Partners Program; Mrs. Tiffani Thompson would be happy to discuss this with you.

Finally, we want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.  We are very pleased with the growth of our school and thank you so much for being part of God’s very powerful ministry at PCA.  We are committed to continue glorifying God in everything we do and to keep our focus on our mission.  The future of PCA is bright, and we are anxious to see what God will do as we move forward.

For the Entire Board of Directors,

Don Greer
