is participating in the Birdies for Charity Campaign during this
year’s Navistar LPGA Classic set for September 25 – 28, 2008
at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in
Prattville
.
This
is a new fundraiser where pledges are made based on
the number of birdies (1 stroke under par) made during the
tournament, Thursday through Sunday.
Participation
is simple...you make a pledge, one cent ($0.01) or
more, per birdie and at the end of the tournament the
total birdies made, multiplied by your pledge, would equal your
total pledged/donated amount that goes directly to The
Prattville YMCA. You may also make a one-time donation as
well (minimum of $10).
There
were 1301 birdies made during last year's
tournament.... so a pledge of .01 cent x 1301 birdies =
$13.01 pledge. A .05 cent pledge would only be $65.05.
A .10 cent pledge would be $130.10. You get the idea.
There is
also a “Guess the Birdies Contest” and the grand prize is a
3 day, 2 night stay at any Trail Resort. Also, the charity
that raises the most money will receive an additional $1,000
from the tournament.
I hope
you will participate and help raise money for PCA by
making a pledge for each birdie made or consider a one-time cash
donation. We will have pledge cards at the

money will go to the Panther Pride Booster Club for the
completion of the football facility. Prattville Christian
