Athletics
are a very important part of our goal of nurturing the overall
development of PCA students. PCA offers daily physical education
classes taught by certified P.E. teachers for all students in
grades K4-9. In the fall months, students participate in
rigorous Presidential Fitness Testing, the goal of which is to
test and improve the total physical fitness of students.
The
development of selflessness and teamwork are an important part
of our athletic and spiritual program. Athletics are conducted
with a Christian focus that teaches these important concepts.
PCA conducts an elementary sports program offering competitive
sports to younger students. As a member of the Alabama
Independent School Association, PCA offers interscholastic
athletic competition for boys and girls in the 7th through 12th
grades in such sports as football, volleyball, basketball,
soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, track and cheerleading. PCA
is building a reputation for fielding spirited and successful

IN addition
to daily physical education classes, PCA supports an elementary
sports program. PCA partners with the YMCA of Prattville to
provide opportunities in all sports except football. Elementary
football programs play in the Alabama Independent School
Association system. Sports included in the elementary program
are:

Basketball – Girls and Boys
Volleyball – Girls

Co-ed
The age
groupings are be:
First and
Second Grades
Third and
Fourth Grades
Fifth and
Sixth Grades
This
program significantly enhances the level of school spirit in our
younger students and gives them the opportunity to play sports
with other children from PCA. The coaches for this league are
PCA parent volunteers.

Booster Club Meetings
The Booster Club meets on
the second Monday of the month, unless there is a game or
other conflict.
Our Goals
Our goals are simple and
straightforward: to provide quality, Bible-based education
in a wholesome environment; to nurture the spiritual,
intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each
student.
